The Pastor Reflection

WHAT DO YOU SEE AHEAD OF YOU?

It is time to have an expectation for your tomorrow. What you see, the mental picture you paint of your future, will determine what you will experience. That is why God said to Abraham:
“…..lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward;
For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever.”
(Gen 13:14-15)
Abraham had to see the land in order to possess it. Since we are all Abraham's children by covenant, God expects us not only to look, but to see as well. Seeing in the sense, does not mean physical sight, but seeing with the eyes of understanding or perceiving with your mind (Eph 1:18). Beloved, what do you see in your future? What mental picture do you paint of your tomorrow? What do you see ahead of you? Truly, the farther you could see, the much you would possess. It does not really matter where you are now and the giants that stand against you, like Caleb and Joshua, if you can see the promise land, you are well able to overcome and to possess it (Num 1:30).
No matter what the situation is today, never take God and His word for granted. When you despise the days of small things, you miss the greatness that lies ahead. From the very place you are now, if only you can lift up your eyes in faith, away from sin and the world, unto the Lord, you will surely behold your glorious tomorrow. Only in the Lord Jesus Christ can you see your future. As covenant children, let us go to the Lord and ask that “the eyes of our understanding be opened, that we may see our tomorrow in God's hands”. God will surely answer you in Jesus name (Amen).
