Topic: Finishing the Race
Text: Hebrews 12:1-2

A race is a situation in which a number of people are competing to achieve a goal.
Finish - To complete, accomplish, finalizing, round-up

WHAT CAN BE DONE TO FINISH THE CHRISTIAN RACE?
1. Emulate christian model to run the race (1 Cor 11:1)
2. Put aside hindrances to run the race, that is, weight - sin, weaknesses - that you have to drop.
      How? By crying to God for help (Matt 14:29-30)
                Disconnect yourself from the weight
3. Put on endurance to run the race (Heb 12:1)
4. Focus on Jesus as you run the race (Heb 12:2)
5. Look forward to the joy that is after the race (Heb 12:2)
6. Ignore shame as you run the race (Mark 8:38)
7. Aim at the reward of the race (2 Tim 4:8)

Conclusion: Hebrews 6:10 - Every work you do, there is a reward here on earth and eternity.
