PASTOR'S REFLECTION

Theme: Our year of covenant of peace
Text: Isa 54:10

Deep thanks to God

We thank thee, o Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for successfully bringing us into year 2019- ‘our year of covenant of peace’. We are deeply grateful to you Lord for all your marvelous deeds in our lives, families, churches movement and our nation Nigeria in year 2018. Thank you father, for all the victories you gave to your church (solution center) and according to all that you promised us last year, there had not failed one word of any of them. To you Daddy be all the glory in Jesus name.

Appreciation: Our profound appreciation goes to every pastors, ministers, leaders, workers and members of solution center who understand that we are co-laborers with God(1cor3:9) and had truly put their necks to the work of their Lord in the years past, particularly in the year 2018. Congratulations to you all for making it to year 2019. The Almighty God who has covenanted this year for peace for us all will surely make you and your family first partakers in Jesus name.
2019 Theme: A few weeks before the New Year, God while speaking to us indicated that this year shall be a greater year, loaded with bountiful blessings and a destiny changing year to all His faithful children. It was therefore not surprising to see God come to us with a “covenant of peace” as a movement. I am particularly thrilled at this year’s theme because it’s unusual and more business-like than all other themes we had ran with. Our theme this year is not only a promise of God, but much more formal, solemn and a binding agreement, under seal between us and God Almighty.

Since a covenant is a written agreement or promise usually under seal between two or more parties especially for the performance of some action (Merriam Webster dictionary) each party has clear-cut responsibilities.

“For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee”. May this theme be fulfilled in your life, home, marriage, career, finances, ministries, academics and on all that concerneth you. May nothing make it a lie or none-effect in your case, in Jesus name. We shall look at the provisions of this covenant, the responsibilities attached to each party and the blessings that follow hereafter, in our subsequent editions.

God bless you and have a happy and prosperous 2019.

CONGREGATIONAL HYMN

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

Chorus 1
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father
Through Jesus the Son;
And give Him the glory,
Great things He hath done!

Verse 1
To God be the glory! Great things He hath done!
So lov'd He the world. That He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life. An atonement for sin,
And open'd the lifegate, That all may go in.

Verse 2
O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood!
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

Verse 3
Great things He hath taught us,
Great things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son:
But purer and higher and greater will be
Our wonder, our worship, when Jesus we see!
